Christmas Q&A – Greg Bowden

Christmas Q&A – Greg Bowden

Greg Bowden is executive manager of Advance Rockhampton. He joined iQ for a quick Christmas Q&A….

What are your goals and expectations for your organisation and industry in 2021?

Advance Rockhampton is aiming to transform the way industry across the region is engaging in 2021, breaking down silos to ensure we can build a stronger jobs pipeline for future years. And to successfully deliver events unique to Rocky like Beef 2021 in May, Rockynats in April and the opening of the Rockhampton Museum of Art in late 2021. That everyone gets to see our meerkats at Rocky zoo.

Name one regulatory burden that could be changed to make your day easier

We work within current government policies but it would be great to see a commitment towards further incentives for investment into new regional business opportunities.

How will you be spending the Christmas/New Year period?

Christmas with family in Maleny and New Year at the rodeo at CQLX in Gracemere. Giddyup!

What is the worst/funniest Christmas present you have ever received (or given)?

A Bananas in Pyjamas costume to a friend who insisted on regularly eating bananas in the office, which constantly attracted fruit flies….

What is your best/worst Christmas cracker joke?

Q: What does Santa suffer from if he gets stuck in the chimney? A: Claustrophobia….
