Bright bucket to spark mental health awareness

Bright bucket to spark mental health awareness

Mackay-based heavy engineering and fabrication company Mainetec has created a 49-cubic-metre conversation starter with this Hulk excavator bucket manufactured to suit a Liebherr 9800 excavator.

Mainetec said it had worked with CR, who supplied the cast lip for the build, to support the TIACS Foundation with the bucket.

TIACS stands for This is a Conversation Starter and is known for its bright designs, including on TradeMutt work wear, which aim to draw attention and get people talking about mental health issues.

Sharing footage of the bucket build on social media, Mainetec said TIACS Foundation’s ultimate goal was to change the mental health services landscape – making it accessible and affordable, and in doing so, reduce the number of suicides in Australia.

Mainetec officially launched its innovative Hulk excavator bucket line in 2019 after years of research and development.

The lighter, linerless Hulk buckets are designed with specific shaped steel castings to eliminate the need for lamination of plates as per standard OEM excavator buckets.
